Dan Kelly's Biography
  Dan Kelly is originally from Connersville, PA, but has made his home in Nashville, TN since 1985.

Dan has won hundreds of fiddle competitions including the state championships of PA, IN, OH, MD, KY, WVA and twice the Mid-America Champion. He also won the Canadian National Open at the age of 12.

In 1983, at the age of 17, Dan won the coveted and most famous championship title in the nation,"The Grand Masters".

When Dan was 20, he was asked to go to work for the "King Of Country Music", Roy Acuff in his legendary band "The Smokey Mountain Boys". Dan remained with Roy until his death in 1992.

In the years following Roy's death, Dan has worked with a "Who's Who" of country artists: Pam Tillis, Steve Wariner, James Bonamy, Faith Hill, Jessica Simpson and SHeDaisy.

From 2002-2006, Dan had been the featured fiddle and mandolin player for Alan Jackson as a member of The Strayhorns. Dan's recent work includes Jimmy Wayne, Joey Daniels, numerous bluegrass acts including The Tennessee Mafia Jug Band, and currently,
Clint Black!
